On November 6th, the "LowTeh & Transformation des entreprises" colloquium was held at the Cité du Numérique in Le Havre Seine Métropole. Attended by over 80 participants, the event provided a platform for thought-provoking discussions on the importance of incorporating the Low-Tech approach into business practices.
▪️ The opening session, led by representatives from ADEME, offered an update on the four 2050 scenarios, emphasizing the “Generation Frugal/Low-Tech” scenario as indispensable for achieving carbon neutrality by mid-century.
▪️ The colloquim highlighted contributions from industrial companies successfully adopting the Low-Tech approach, showcasing viable alternative models that address socio-ecological challenges and demonstrate the transformative power of commitment in this field.
▪️ In the afternoon, academic stakeholders delivered comprehensive analyses, presenting research findings and contemporary academic perspectives on the integration of the Low-Tech paradigm into the industrial and economic landscape.
▪️ Despite ongoing barriers from entrenched models, the event fostered reflection, dialogue, and collaboration, highlighting the Low-Tech approach as a promising path toward strong sustainability.
